I am a french citizen, born July 5th, 1981. I grew up in Brittany and I did my graduate studies at the Université de Bretagne Occidentale (UBO; French for "University of Western Brittany"). In september 2008. I defended a PhD in isotope geochemistry at the Institut Universitaire Européen de la Mer (IUEM; French for "European Institute of Marine Studies"), advisors: J.-A. Barrat, L. Dosso and M. Chaussidon. I am currently working as a postdoctoral researcher for the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris (IPGP; French for "Institute of Geophysics of Paris") in Marine Geosciences (UMR7097).

My research centers on the petrology and geochemistry of igneous rocks. Its primary focus is on using isotopes (Sr, Nd, Pb, Hf, He or Li), in conjunction with major and trace elements analyses, to study the structure of Earth's interior. My current work is focus on the accretion process of the oceanic crust along mid-oceanic ridges.

Research interests:

Stable isotope geochemistry; Systematic of lithium isotopes; Sr, Nd, Pb, Hf isotopes in igneous rocks; Mantle dynamics; Geochemical mapping of the mantle beneath oceanic ridge; He isotopes heterogeneities in the mantle...

During my PhD, I have worked on 3 differents projects:
# A low δ7Li lower crustal component: evidence from the alkalic intraplate volcanic series of the Chaîne des Puys(French Massif Central).
# Diffusion induced Li isotopic fractionation in olivines from a picritic basalt from the mid Atlantic ridge.
# Geochemical heterogeneities in Pacific-Antarctic MORB samples using trace elements and Sr, Nd, Pb, Hf and He isotope ratios.

Relevant Skills for Geochemistry:

I have a good experience of work in a clean lab: dissolution, elemental purification and concentration (by ion chromatography). I have a training and practice of the following instruments:
# TIMS MAT261 Finnigan (Ifremer/UBO, Brest) upgraded by Spectromat, for the analysis of Sr, Nd and Pb isotopic composition.
# SIMS IMS 3F Cameca (CRPG, Nancy) for the in situ analysis of Li concentration and isotopic ratio in olivine phenocrysts.
# TIMS Triton ThermoFinnigan (IUEM, Brest), for the measurement of Sr and Nd isotope ratios.
# Electron Microprobe SX100 Cameca (Ifremer, Brest), for in situ analysis of major elements in various types of crystals.
# SIMS IMS 1270 Cameca (CRPG, Nancy) for in situ Li isotopic measurements in olivine phenocrysts.
# ICP-AES JY 70 Plus Jobin Yvon (UBO) for major and trace elements.
# HR-ICP-MS Element2 ThermoFinnigan (IUEM, Brest) for trace elements.
